Andrew Hoaglin

Andrew Hoaglin was officially named the Head Coach of the Women's Basketball team in February of 2007. Hoaglin is a Jackson-area native who played basketball, football and baseball for Columbia Central High School located in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Prior to JCC, Hoaglin spent three years as an assistant coach at the University of St. Francis (Ft. Wayne, Indiana). While at USF, Hoaglin shared responsibilities for daily activities, including practice and game preparation.

Most recently, Hoaglin served two years as the girl’s varsity coach at Addison High School. In those two years his teams compiled 33 wins with two MHSAA district championships. In 2006, Hoaglin received the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Region 3 Coach of the Year award.

Hoaglin believes in a coaching philosophy based on commitment, effort and passion. “I believe to be an exceptional basketball player one must possess three qualities: intelligence, passion, and the ability to deal with adversity and persevere.”

Hoaglin received his B.S. in Business Administration in 1995 from the University of St. Francis and his M.B.A from Baker College in 2001. While at USF he played both basketball and baseball for the Cougars.

Hoaglin works as a Human Resource Consultant for Consumers Energy and spends his limited free time with his wife Kim and daughter Claire. Hoaglin resides in Jackson with his wife, Kim, a JCC alumna and real estate agent at Exit Realty, and their daughter Claire.
