Student Employee Professional Development

JCC student employment provides financial assistance and professional experience for students. In efforts to increase dividends for student employees and to advance a culture of learning, JCC established a campus-wide student employee professional development program.

JCC offers weekly training sessions on a variety of topics. Training sessions are scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., rotating among Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Starting late February 2008, every student employee is required to attend three paid training sessions in each Fall and Winter semesters as a part of their employment requirements.

Student Employee Professional Development Purpose

The Student Employment Professional Development Program intends to provide student employees with both soft skill and technical training. This program is responsible for quality training materials, skilled presenters, and relevant training topics. Student employees will be awarded a certificate of completion upon fulfillment of training requirements.
