Library Cards
To obtain a card, you must present a driver’s license with a current address. Your library card is required to borrow any materials
from the JCC Library.
You are responsible for all materials checked out with your library card. This is true even if you lose or loan the card. If you should
lose your card, report the loss immediately.
The first card is free, but replacement cards are $2.00 each.
Reserves
All overnight reserves must be returned by 8:30 am the following day.
Renewals
Your library card and the item to be renewed must be presented in order to renew that item. Renewals (2) are allowed if the material has
not been requested by another person.
If renewing through Telecirc (784-2280) or the
IPac (Online Catalog) you will be required to supply your Library card number, your 4-digit PIN, and the barcode number of the material.
Overdue fees
Fines are imposed to ensure prompt return of materials. Borrowers are expected to return materials when they are due without special
notification.
Patrons with $25 worth of fines and/or overdue materials are referred to a Collection Agency, and this will impact their credit rating.
JCC students will also incur a Library Hold with the JCC Records Office — grades and transcripts are withheld until the account is
cleared.
Fines
Fines paid when JCC materials are returned at the Library are cut in half, unless these fines have reached the
maximum amount.
Replacement copies of items may be brought to the Library (to cover the cost of the material) with prior permission of the Library
Department Chair.
