JCC Flight Centers Open Doors for Prospective Pilots
7-9 p.m. April 29, Jackson; 7-9 p.m. May 6, Lenawee
Thinking about a career where you can really get off the ground? Think about aviation.
Jackson Community College's Flight Centers in Jackson and Adrian will host open houses to explain the opportunities available in aviation technology. There will be a short program for those wanting to become a pilot, with information about career opportunities presented and a question-and-answer period, said David Frazier, director of aviation technology for JCC. Participants will be able to view JCC's aircraft, talk to aviation instructors, an aviation mechanic, and an aviation medical examiner.
JCC provides an associate degree and individual pilot certification in:
- private pilot certification
- commercial pilot certification
- instrument rating
- multi-engine rating
- flight instructor certification
- instrument flight instructor rating
The open house will be held in Jackson on Thursday, April 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the Flight Center, Reynolds Municipal Airport, 3610 Wildwood, Jackson. For more information, call (517) 787-7012.

Open house participants will be entered in a drawing for free half-hour flights over Jackson or Adrian.
