Pathways Scholarships available for theatre

Have you pictured yourself on stage or backstage?  Have you enjoyed the teamwork of acting or building sets in a school or community production?  We have a role for you with theatre classes at Jackson Community College.  Scholarship money is available for students who would like to study theatre at JCC in the 2005-06 academic year.

JCC offers classes in acting, directing and stagecraft, as well as an overview of Western theatre and drama.  Theatre students have access to the College's incredible performing arts complex, the George E. Potter Center, and learn from professionally experienced faculty.

To qualify for the Pathways Scholarship, students must have at least a 2.0 grade point average, register for at least six credit hours per semester and complete additional requirements for the theatre program.  Scholarships of $500 per semester are awarded to qualified students for one academic year (two semesters) and are renewable.  Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and a JCC scholarship application, both available online or at any JCC location.  Applications will be accepted through the start of Fall '05, which begins Aug. 22, until the end of drop period, Sept. 2.

For more information, contact Sandy DiCesare in the JCC theatre department, (517) 796-8625.
