See the footlights, take the stage: 

Backstage tours offered at Potter Center

 

The bright lights, the roar of an audience, the actor walks to center stage, the play begins..want the real scoop?  Want to look behind the scenes?

Back stage tours of the Potter Center Theatres will be offered on:

·        Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m.

·        Sunday, July 10 at 1 p.m. 

·        Monday, July 11 at 1 p.m.

All those interested may tour of all three Potter Center theatres:  Harold Sheffer Music Hall and the Baughman and Day Theatres, lead by Sandy DiCesare, theatre instructor and technical director for the Theatre Company.  This is your chance to see the backstage area including dressing rooms, scene shop, sound and light booths, trap room, orchestra pit and stage.  Hear tales of the theatre ghosts and other back stage stories.

So, wear your comfortable shoes and go where no audience members have gone before. Each tour will last about an hour and 15 minutes, and refreshments will be served.  Tours are free of charge, but reservations are required.  Please call (517) 796-8625 for your reservation and for further information.
