Individual tickets go on sale Monday for Potter Center 2006-2007 season

Tickets for the 2006-07 season at the Potter Center at Jackson Community College go on sale Monday, July 17. This season's lineup of great performers includes:

  • Frankie Avalon, the legendary teen idol, performing at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006.
  • John Tesh, recording artist, television host, music director and syndicated radio show host, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006.
  • Capitol Steps, a Washington-based troupe of congressional staffers turned songwriters who satirize the people and places who used to employ them, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006.
  • Bowfire, comprised of 10 of Canada's best violinists and fiddlers backed by a quintet of guitar, cello, bass, piano and drums, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006.
  • AIDA, the musical telling of a tale of love, loyalty, betrayal and courage, with award-winning score by Elton John and Tim Rice, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006.
  • The Oak Ridge Boys will perform a Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006.
  • Can't Stop Loving You – Ray Charles Tribute celebrating the music of Ray Charles, takes the stage at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006.
  • Herman's Hermits, the 1960s pop band starring Peter Noone, performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007.
  • Las Vegas Tribute to Motown presents a celebration of songs from The Temptations, Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder and more, at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007.
  • Comedienne and television personality Kathy Griffin performs at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007.
  • Torme Sings Torme, featuring Steve Torme, son of legendary jazz singer Mel Torme, takes the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007.
  • Diamond Rio, the group that has helped define the "young country" movement, performs at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007.
  • Mannheim Steamroller, the New Age musical phenomenon that has always been on the cutting edge of technology and musical innovation, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007.

For the family, two Kids Korner presentations are planned:

  • Disney's Cinderella Kids and The Jungle Book Kids will help youngsters discover and enjoy theater, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006.
  • Seussical, a musical caper with Dr. Seuss's beloved classic characters, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007.
