31st Annual Winter Film Series features classics, newer works

Jackson Community College is pleased to present the 31st Annual JCC Winter Film Series, currently underway at the Michigan Theatre.

The film series is presented in conjunction with the JCC class, English 210: Introduction to Film, taught by David DeBaker, which examines film as an art form. The public is invited to view the films, which begin at 7:15 p.m. on scheduled Mondays; admission is $6.

Films to be presented this year include:

  • February 5 – Romeo and Juliet (1968)*
  • February 12 – Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
  • February 19 – Devil Wears Prada (2006)
  • February 26 – Flags of our Fathers (2006)
  • March 5 – The Women (1939)
  • March 12 – The Queen (2006)*
  • March 19 – Dr. Strangelove (1964)
  • March 26 – Tootsie (1982)
  • April 2 – Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
  • April 9 – Who Killed the Electric Car (2006)
  • April 16 – Love and Death (1975)
  • April 23 – Shine (1996)*
  • April 30 – To be decided – vote at the Michigan Theater.
