JCC cross country runners honored for academic achievement

Jackson Community College congratulates four members of the 2006 women’s cross country team who recently received Academic All-American Honors by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Four sophomores, Jessica Page, Elizabeth Shotwell, Jaclyn Sass and Jessica Olds were all recognized for having a 3.4 or higher grade point average this past fall. Olds was also a member of the All-Region XII team.

This year was the first year for the JCC cross country team. Head coach is Brian Olsen, and assistant coach is Mark Ott, JCC professor.
