Baseball player Carrick honored for academic achievement
Jackson Community College student and baseball player Adam Carrick was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Distinguished Academic All-American list.
Distinguished Academic All-American status is given to those athletes who have a 3.80 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Carrick maintained a 3.84 grade point average. He graduated high school in Essexville and transferred to JCC this year. He earned an Associate in Arts degree from JCC this year and will be attending Alma College next year to pursue a degree in accounting and finance, and plans to continue his baseball career with the Alma Scots.
