Students invited to fun events at Hillsdale's Fall Fest

Jackson Community College’s Hillsdale LeTarte Center will host its first ever Fall Fest for students this Thursday, Oct. 25, sponsored by Monarch Community Bank.

Fall Fest will feature fun events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to help students at the Hillsdale campus get involved and know each other outside of the classroom, said Pene Vandenburgh, director of the LeTarte Center. The day will feature a costume contest for students, a pumpkin painting contest, and a pumpkin toss event. Students can win prizes, ranging from flash drives to JCC fleece jackets.  Popcorn, cider and doughnuts will be available for students.

“We’re looking forward to this special event for our students,” Vandenburgh said. “Student life opportunities are more evident on main campus with student clubs, sports, plays, etc. We want to provide different opportunities for students to get involved here other than just in the classroom.”
