Oak Ridge Boys to perform Christmas concert Nov. 16

Jackson Community College’s Potter Center will present The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16.

The four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of the Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of country hits and a No. 1 pop smash, earned them Grammy, Dove, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. The Christmas show is a favorite!

One of the longest-running groups in country music, the Oak Ridge Boys started life as a gospel quartet before gradually modernizing their style and moving into secular country-pop. At the height of their popularity in the late ’70s and early ’80s, they crossed over to the pop charts.  They have continued to tour and are a favorite of young and old alike.

Tickets for the Oak Ridge Boys are $38.50, and may be purchased by calling the Potter Center Box Office at 517.796.8600, or online at www.jccmi.edu, under “Visitors” and “Events.”
