Congratulations to JCC Jets women’s cross country runner Alex Blair, who ran to a 15^th place finish in a time of 18 minutes 4 seconds the National Junior College Athletic Association Championships in November, earning her All-American status. 

Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Ina, Ill. for the national meet. The men finished 16^th out of 34 teams with a score of 512; Lansing Community College took first. The women’s team scored 606 and finished 24^th in the 33-team event, won by Iowa Central Community College.

Top finishers for the men’s team include Ian Buckley in 78^th place with a time of 27:11; Dan Styles in 101^st with a time of 27:40; and Alex Harden with a time of 27:53. 

For the women, Brittany Boucher was the next finisher after Blair, taking 88^th place with a time of 20:01. 

Jets cross country, now in its second year, is led by Brian Olsen, head coach and Mark Ott, assistant coach.
