JCC Lenawee County center to become JCC @ LISD TECH

Jackson Community College’s Lenawee site has changed its name to JCC @ LISD TECH, coinciding with the Lenawee Intermediate School District facility with which it shares a campus.

The LISD Vo-Tech Center was recently renamed the LISD Tech Center to reflect the changing educational needs of students. When the Vo-Tech center first opened, it was intended to address a workforce largely industrial and vocational in nature, and was developed for student who probably weren’t going on to college. That has not been the case for a long time, officials said.

JCC opened its JCC @ VO-TECH site next door to the LISD center in 2003. Its name will now be JCC @ LISD TECH.
