Momix brings magic to Potter Center
Jackson Community College welcomes the magic of Momix to the Potter Center stage at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15.
Known for their inventiveness and physical beauty, Momix is a group of dancer-illusionists who bring to life new worlds of surrealistic images on stage, using props, light, shadow, humor and the human body. The group will present the Best of Momix, featuring portions from their stage shows Lunar Sea, Opus Cactus, Baseball and other full-length works. Momix’s performances combine a variety of physical feats, gymnastics, acrobatics, ballet, aerial work and more. Momix brings a mesmerizing experience to audiences by presenting its unique combination of spectacle, visual wit and fantasy. Artistic director and choreographer Moses Pendleton has been one of America’s most innovate and widely performed choreographers and directors for 30 years, and demonstrates his artistic genius in his wonderful creations.
