Up to 200 free tickets available to Beatles tribute
It’s been a hard day’s night … Enjoy a fun evening of entertainment at Jackson Community College’s Potter Center!
JCC is offering 200 free tickets to the April 25 performance of “1964: The Tribute,” to those who are unemployed. Each individual who can show proof of their joblessness may receive two tickets. The concert, a Beatles tribute, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Harold Sheffer Music Hall, Potter Center.
“This is JCC’s way of giving back to those in the community who have supported us,” said Cindy Allen, executive director of community relations and the performing arts. “We want to provide support during a tough time and give individuals a night of fun, so they can forget their worries for an evening.”
Twenty years of research and performing have made "1964" masters of their craft. They have been featured on Entertainment Tonight, PM Magazine, CNN, the USA Network, and the Nashville Network. “1964” recreates an early ‘60s live Beatles concert with period instruments, clothing, hairstyles, and on-stage banter, with an accuracy that is simply unmatched. The Beatles landed on these shores on February 7, 1964, and they literally stood the world of pop culture on its head, setting the musical agenda for the remainder of the decade. The Beatles' innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s, and their influence on pop culture is still evident today. “1964: The Tribute” has been hailed as one of the best Beatles tribute bands in the world.
To pick up free tickets, please stop by the Potter Center Box Office, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
