Men's basketball signs first 3 plays for next season

Jackson Community College’s men’s basketball team signed three new members to the 2009-10 team recently, including:

  • Patrick Williams, 6-foot guard from Holly, Mich., who played for the Holly High School Broncos. He received a Sportsmanship Award and was on the honor roll one year. "He is a dedicated player with a strong work ethic,” said Steve Finamore, head coach. “Pat is committed to helping us by doing the little things. He comes from a very good program, where he was coached by Lance Bayliss.”

  • Anthony Wade, 5-foot 10-inch guard from Jackson, who previously played for the Jackson High School Vikings and has attended Wayne State University. He was named defensive player of the year twice, and was on the honor roll four years. “Anthony is a great kid who brings tons of energy, and a player who is willing to play the right way,” Finamore said.

  • Kyle McDonald is a 5-foot 11-inch guard from Hillsdale, Mich., who played for the Hillsdale High School Hornets. He received a Most Improved Player Award, was on the honor roll three years, and has received student of the month honors in numerous classes. “Kyle is a good outside shooter who works hard,” Finamore said. “He competes on every possession.”
