Town hall meeting planned to discuss foreclosure crisis

Trouble with your mortgage? Facing possible foreclosure? Interested in what resources are available?

Jackson Community College and the Community Foreclosure Coalition of Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties will host a town hall meeting, “In Our Own Backyard: The Foreclosure Crisis Here at Home,” 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 in the Michael Baughman Theatre of Potter Center.

The Community Foreclosure Coalition was created by the Community Action Agency and consists of a network of partners working together to help stem the tide of foreclosures in the area. The town hall meeting will include an introduction to the crisis, a panel discussion, and time for question and answers from audience members. Learn more about this very real problem facing many in Jackson and the tri-county area, and important steps to take when facing this crisis. Protect yourself from scams and learn what resources are available locally.
