JCC student athletes honored for academic performance

Jackson Community College is pleased to announce that five student athletes have received Academic All-American honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2009-2010 year.

  • Brianne Augustine, Women’s Soccer, Academic All-American
  • Alicia Badders, Volleyball, Distinguished Academic All-American
  • Lauren Decker, Women’s Cross Country, Distinguished Academic All-American
  • Michael Dulworth, Men’s Cross Country, Distinguished Academic All-American
  • Hanna Olsen, Women’s Cross Country, Distinguished Academic All-American

The NJCAA recognizes athletes with the Distinguished Academic All-American honor if they have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.80 – 4.00. In order to be an Academic All-American, athletes must have an overall GPA of 3.60 – 3.79. NJCAA is the governing body of intercollegiate athletics for two-year colleges.
