Outstanding JCC student employees recognized for service

Jackson Community College is pleased to announce that Ryan Fink of Jackson has been named Student Employee of the Year for his work in the information technology department.

Outstanding student employees are nominated by various department personnel, and judged by committee according to their reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism, and uniqueness of their contribution.

Fink, Pleasant Lake, started at JCC in Fall 2005 after graduating from Northwest High School. He is studying business administration at JCC and hopes to transfer to Michigan State University. “I’ve been interested in computers for as long as I can remember,” Fink said. “Friday the 13th has always been a good day for me.”

Honorable mentions for the Student Employee of the Year Awards were presented to Jen Schittenhelm, of Jackson, who works in the JCC Foundation office; Rebecca Walker, of Brooklyn, who works in the pottery studio; William Willnow, of Adrian, who works with the Adrian Chamber of Commerce; and Daniel Brueggeman Jr., of Concord, who works with buildings and grounds at JCC.
