Jan. 9, 2008 For immediate release Hot new technology topic of January computer workshopJackson Community College’s Alumni Association invites any interested alumni to attend an upcoming computer workshop Saturday, Jan. 19 exploring “Hot New Technology.” Come and learn about the technology that will be affecting you in the near future. Gain hands-on experience with Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, Wireless Internet and projection, Windows Vista and Tablet computers. You will also learn about HDTV, Blu-Ray and other advances in video technology. Get more information on the advances in storage devices, media players as well as televisions. JCC’s alumni workshop series is hosted by current information technology personnel and student workers. The workshop will run from 10 a.m. through noon, with additional one-on-one time available from noon to 1 p.m. All workshop sessions are held in the new William Atkinson Hall, Room 120, on the Jackson campus.
