Welcome to JCC!
Your summer college-away-from-college
Use your summer break to catch up on courses you need at your 4-year college or university. With our small class sizes, personal instruction, and tutorial services, it's a good time to pick up or repeat challenging courses, or to get some of those pesky basic general education courses out of the way. Picking up a few summer courses may mean you get your bachelor's degree before you turn 30!
Here's what you need to do:
Fill out an Guest Application and have it submitted to JCC indicating the course/courses that you are planning to take.
Consult with your home institution to be sure you have permission to transfer credit back from JCC. (Be sure you get the permission in writing, or at least jot down the name of the person who approved of your choices. Ask about credit limits, as most colleges accept a limited number of transfer credits.)
Submit unofficial transcripts from home institution to verify prerequisites.
Submit state issued ID (driver's license).
Payment is due within seventy two hours of registration.
Save your course syllabus in case you need further information for your home institution.
Submit a transcript request to JCC to have your transcript sent to your home institution. Forms are available on-line, or fill one out at any JCC location.
Earn a 2.0 or higher for the course to be transferable.
