Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees are subject to change by the Board of Trustees. Total costs are determined by tuition based on the number of billing contact hours, the Student fee, and any course fees.

Pay to Stay Friday

Payment is due on the Friday of the week you register, i.e. if you register on Tuesday, your payment is due
on Friday. Review the Payment Due Dates schedule to ensure the preservation of your class schedule. Students who do not pay by their payment due date, risk losing the spot in the class(es) they have registered for. JCC does not guarantee that you will be dropped for non-payment.

Note: After the first day of the semester, payment is due immediately.

Tuition Per Contact Hour 2012-2013:

This covers the actual cost of instruction. Tuition is paid by billing contact hour. Most classes carry from one to five billing contacts.

¥ Jackson County Residents Includes: Students whose permanent residence is in Albion, Cement City, Chelsea, Homer, Jerome, Leslie, Litchfield, Manchester, and Stockbridge as these communities have been identified as being served by Jackson County school districts. (School of choice does not constitute permanent residency, and does not qualify for the in-district rate.)

* When excess course capacity exists, students meeting the senior tuition rate criteria may qualify for a tuition waiver. A senior tuition waiver is not applicable Corporate & Continuing Education, Lifetime Learning, or online courses and all other applicable fees apply. Eligible seniors must meet the in-district rate requirement. This tuition waiver is intended for development of new knowledge and is not intended for repeat coursework or ongoing health and fitness courses.

Residency is based on the student's permanent address at the time of registration.

Student Fee:

Covers costs associated with registration, grade reports and transcripts. This fee is paid by all students each registration period.

$32.00 per billing contact

Course Fee:

Course fees are listed in the Schedule of Classes. These fees cover costs of consumable materials directly related to or used for the course, such as computer paper and science lab materials. This fee is paid on a per class basis.

The Course Fee for online courses are based on total billing contact hours for each course. For example, an online course with 3 billing hours would carry one course fee of $115.
