I realize that selecting a college is a big decision and once you do that, deciding on where to live is the next big decision. Know that the staff and I are excited that you have selected to live with us. We are prepared to provide opportunities for you to live with us and develop as an independent person, find moments and opportunities to laugh, go to class and learn with fellow residents and we hope that you also make life-long friends. It is exciting to embark upon our second year with campus housing at Jackson Community College. Even more exciting, is when looking at the “backyard” we can see the construction of a second residence hall. With the construction and growth, I take pause and share with you that living on campus is more than living in an apartment, it is an “experience” that is for most students not comparable to living off campus or with parents. And, that definition includes things such as being a student, student leader, athlete, friend, student employee, program participant; but most important… a JCC community member.
