Emergency Medical Technician

Jackson Community College in cooperation with Emergency Medical Services agencies in the community, offers approved Basic EMT. The basic EMT program requires 12 credit hours and is taken over two semesters. The curriculum meets the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation and is approved by the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services.
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates are eligible to take the State of Michigan exam to become a licensed EMT or Paramedic.
