Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star this  PG-13 rated comedy, called “The Bucket List” directed by Rob Reiner.  Both of the Academy Award winners gain the affection of their audience by playing two terminally ill cancer patients that anticipate living the rest of their lives to the fullest, without any regrets.

Morgan Freeman plays Carter Chambers, an auto mechanic that has willingly put his life on hold while dealing with the responsibilities of being a husband and a father.  Carter finds himself sharing a hospital room with Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson), a wealthy businessman who just happens to be the owner of the hospital.  Edward never ventured the world outside of his regular agenda, making money and developing a successful hospital in Los Angeles.

A long time ago, Carter was asked to make a “bucket list”, which is a list of all the things he desired to do, and longed to conquer before he kicked the bucket, or died. When he starts writing the list therapeutically, Edward decides to put fourth a couple of his own ideas.

Against hospital orders, these two men check themselves out of the hospital after realizing that they have never experienced anything outside of their normal reality.  Carter and Edward are hardly familiar with each other, but that doesn’t stop them from seeing the world together and accomplishing everything beyond their wildest dreams.

Such adventures include sky diving, drag racing, enduring a tattoo, and dining in the most luxurious restaurants, with nothing to hold them back but a simple sheet of paper that introduces their next destination.

This movie is a must-see; don’t wait until you’re terminally ill. Make this a part of your list today.
