Long-time trustee retiring

 

Charles Anderson

    Charles Anderson spent 14 years with the Jackson Community College board and is 76 years old.  President Daniel J. Phelan praised Anderson with all of his hard work saying, “You have made us a better institution, and me a better president, and I thank you for that.”

Lately with Britney Spears being in the news so often for her mental instability or for the treatment of her children, it brings to mind the questionable judgment of the rest of society who often look up to those who are famous. Why, just because someone is famous does that mean that they should be considered a role model or a hero?

Ten Tenors in town one night only

 

  The Ten Tenors originally met while studying and pursuing opera at an Australian college university.  With self-funding and hope, these 10 men put the power of their dream to the test.  They play this Friday at the Potter Center.
