Is he “Awake?”

   “Awake” is a movie that will keep your heart beating, with twists and turns that one may never expect. 

    Starring Jessica Alba, who has also starred in movies such as “The Fantastic Four” and Hayden Christensen, who played young Anakin Skywalker in the prequels to "Star Wars," this movie, released in 2007, will really make your bones jump.

   Anesthetic awareness is a condition that leaves you helpless, immobile, and unable to scream in pain during a surgery you're not supposed to feel. Clay Beresford (Christensen) is undergoing a very dangerous heart transplant. As Clay closes his eyes and the surgery begins, he realizes that he can still hear and feel everything. While maintaining consciousness, Clay tries to block out the pain by concentrating on the memories of his girlfriend Sam (Alba).  Little does he know, the surgery table may turn into his deathbed - and the scene of his murder - and the twist will leave you speechless. 

   I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves drama and the thrill of “What’s going to happen next?”  For obvious reasons, this movie is rated R.
