New dorms coming

 

The JCC Board of Trustees has approved the second phase of their student housing project, which is to construct an additional dormitory to go along with Campus View, the one dorm that JCC already has. The new dormitory would have an estimated 96 beds including the manager’s unit. A basement design is also in the works for the new dorm, which will possibly give students a place to spend time for recreation when they are not working on homework or other tasks.

 

Service Learning seeks to get students involved

   The purpose of service learning is to address the needs of the community. It gives students and faculty alike an opportunity to give to those less fortunate. With the help of faculty and students, service learning intends to make not only the Jackson community better, but the human community as well.

Ready, set ..... register!

 

Despite the snow still on the ground, it is officially spring and anyone who would like to take spring/summer courses at Jackson Community College should look into registering now.  Online registration for returning students begins on April 7 while in-person registration begins April 14.

Step into "The Stepcrew"

 

    The Stepcrew” is the next exciting performance scheduled at the JCC Potter Center for Saturday April 12, at 8 p.m. It displays a blend of Irish step dancing and modern tap, as well as a rare form of dance called Ottawa Valley step dancing. This style of dance originated from Canada, and is a mixture between tap and Irish dancing.
