Windows 95

Saving us from Vista

 

The Board of Trustees this week decided JCC will downgrade all its systems to Windows 95. Although this may seem a little odd to some students and staff members, there are some definite strong points about this change. Windows 95 is much cheaper and also allows users to have some pretty innovative features, such as a start button and a digital clock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. The layout of the desktop is also much more stylish than that of the newer XP and Vista designs, that fact alone is one of 95’s biggest drawing points.

We all break the law at sometime or another in our life. Who hasn’t crossed an intersection when the “Don’t Walk” sign was flashing? However, did you know that there is a law on the books in Michigan that states “a wife’s hair legally belongs to her husband?”

  Dr. Paula Harris has been teaching us about women throughout history who have made an impact throughout the world. Some of the topics included analyzing women’s opinions, looking at different types of art throughout history and last but not least, the project that would make or break our grade.

JCC baseball team finding its groove

 

With the baseball season underway, head coach Rick Smith remains positive that the team will become more consistent as the weather begins to cooperate. “We need to work on getting in more non conference games,” said Smith. “It helps to develop our team as far as starting positions, batting order, strengths, pitching rotation and so on.”
