Lyman L. Fink Excellence in Writing

Each year, The Language, Literature and the Arts department in collaboration with the Computer Information Systems department sponsors the Lyman L. Fink Excellence in Writing Contest and publication. The Lyman L. Fink Excellence in Writing Fund, established in the memory of Mr. Fink, an English professor at JC from 1966 to 1987, awards winning essayists with cash prizes. Student essays produced in ENG 090, ENG 131, ENG 132, and ENG 201 during the contest year are eligible for submission. The essay book, designed by graphics students, is published each winter semester.
