Remembering Gary
Gary Wetzel-Righettini was an associate professor and Director of Theatre from 1987 until 2009. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, bad jokes, love of fishing and golf. He was a great teacher and a wonderful acting coach and director. His untimely death had left a huge hole in our hearts. Gary was truly a Renaissance Man. He was excited by all that was medieval, Beatles, Zappa and motorcycle. He was a friend to many and loved his family. When he was younger, he had been actor with the Hillberry Theatre—but his greatest role was that of father. Gary Wetzel-Righettini: son, brother, friend, student, actor, teacher, uncle, professor and director, husband and father.
