SPN 111 - 3 credits

Spanish Conversation I

This is the first in a two-semester sequence in beginning conversational Spanish designed for people who have little or no knowledge of Spanish. The emphasis is on speaking and listening for travelers, professionals and students. The course introduces practical vocabulary, culture, pronunciation and essential grammar with minimal reading and writing.

SPN 112 - 3 credits

Spanish Conversation I

This is the second in a two-semester sequence in beginning conversational Spanish designed for people who have limited knowledge of Spanish. The emphasis is on speaking and listening for travelers, professionals and students. The course introduces practical vocabulary, culture, pronunciation and essential grammar with minimal reading and writing.

SPN 131 - 4 credits

Elementary Spanish I

Introduces and develops the four skills of language learning: listening, speaking, reading and writing, with special emphasis on listening and speaking

SPN 132 - 4 credits

Elementary Spanish

Provides increased practice in the basic language skills, listening, reading, writing and speaking.

SPN 231 - 4 credits

Intermediate Spanish I

Improves the basic skills of language learning with emphasis on speaking and writing. Introduces sustained readings in Spanish.

SPN 232 - 4 credits

Intermediate Spanish II

Continues to stress speaking practice and writing improvement. Readings and discussions in Spanish, focusing on contemporary events and Hispanic culture.
