April of 2006 I attended the Higher Learning Commission's Annual conference in Chicago where I, along with Paula Hopper, presented two sessions on JCC's first AQIP action project, titled "AQIP Action Project Survival 101: Processes and Pitfalls." Our paper is published in Volume 4, "The Future Focused Organization: Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement," of the HLC's 2006 collection of papers on self-study and institutional improvement.

I attended HLC sessions on creating an electronic systems portfolios, using quality tools, and on using online rubrics. I have already shared a report on these sessions with AQIP's coordinating team and Distance Learning.

Paula and I were also invited to present our work at Monroe Community College later in April 2006.
