Dr. Ethelene Crockett Jones Distinguished Alumni Award
2007: David S Richmond
David S. Richmond has proven himself an able businessman
as founding partner, chairman and chief investment
officer of Richmond Brothers Financial Management
Specialists, Inc. He attended Jackson Community College from 1992-94, then
transferred to Michigan State University. As co-founder, with his brother John,
of the Richmond Brothers Foundation, he is fulfilling his personal vision to
reach out and improve the lives of others. Charities
such as St. Mary's Childcare and Development Center,
Queen of the Miraculous Medal School, Lumen Christi High School, New City
Resources and more have benefited from his generosity. The foundation has helped
fund Jackson Community College's Dr. Wilbur L. Dungy Endowed Chair in Science
and has established a scholarship program at the College. It has helped The
American Cancer Society, through the Tony Open. Internationally, it benefits The
Lingap Foundation, which supports an orphanage and educational opportunities in
the Phillippines.
For leadership in business and generosity to his
community, Jackson Community College recognizes David S. Richmond with the Dr.
Ethelene Jones Crockett Distinguished Alumni Award.
