Alumni Relations Alumni ProfilesBridget Rothenberger
Bridget Rothenberger is living her dream. The JCC alumna spent a full year researching her prospective business, then opened the Nomad Bookhouse, located in downtown Jackson, in December of 2005. “I’ve loved every minute of it,” Rothenberger said. A self-professed lifelong learner, her love of books and culture lead her to the decision to pursue her dream. And, she believes in Jackson and has a desire to offer arts and culture lovers more opportunities close to home. “I want to give Jacksonians a reason to stay in Jackson, rather than flocking to Ann Arbor or Lansing.” Rothenberger is grateful for JCC; “I believe in the College and the students.” She runs the Nomad according to her belief that business is as much about community, both socially and ethically, as it is about profits. She is married to James and has three school-age children. |
