JCC vs. Mott Community College

The Jackson Community College men's basketball team fell to 4-6 after losing to Mott Community College 74-35 at the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse. "You're not going to win any games shooting as poorly as we did." Said Jets head coach Steve Finamore. The Jets were held to a season low 13 points in the first half. "Add bad shooting and Mott's defense and you have a recipe for disaster." Said Finamore. Reginald Johnson led the Jets in scoring with 8 points.

JCC will be home this coming Thursday night, December 18th to take on Trine University at 7:00 PM.

JCC vs. Illinois Central College

The Jets played the first of two games in the Mott Community College Classic losing to Illinois Central College 92-82. Illinois Central is currently ranked 10th in the nation. Trailing by seven at half-time the Jets played a poised and aggressive first half. In the second half the Jets ran out of gas as the experienced Illinois Central team had too many weapons to contain. "It was a great opportunity for our team to play a school with a big reputation nationally." Said JCC head coach Steve Finamore. "We gave everything we had but in the second half we couldn't come up with big baskets."

JCC vs Monroe(NY) Community College

In the second game of the Mott Classic the Jets took on another nationally ranked team Monroe(NY)CC. Trailing by only four points at the half, once again the Jets made it a point they were going to play hard, share the ball and take on the big schools. "We came out ready to play." Said JCC head coach Steve Finamore. "Our guys played the best they could; we competed, defended well and played with energy." The Jets are now 4-5 on the season with Finals week ahead. The Jets are back in action Saturday night December 13 at home against defending back-to-back national champs Mott Community College(7:00PM)

JCC vs Henry Ford CC

The Jackson Community College men's basketball team suffered a tough loss at the hands of Henry Ford Community College played at the Victor Cuiss fieldhouse, 80-65. The Jets played an outstanding first half in front of a very supportive crowd leading 42-33. But tough defense by Henry Ford frustrated the Jets in the second half and after falling behind, J.C.C. could never regain any chemistry. J.C.C. is now 4-3 on the season. They will be back home on Saturday night December 13th to take on the defending back-to-back National Champion Mott Bears.

"We played a very solid first half but we have to learn to come out of the locker room from half-time with the same intensity." said Jets head coach Steve Finamore.

Win 83-51

Nick Minnerath led the Jets with 25 points and 8 rebounds. The Jets (4-2) led at half-time 42-28 thanks to the strong inside play of Minnerath. Solid defense, sharing of the ball and a well-balanced scoring attack helped the Jets get the win on the road.

"The guys are playing much better defense and realizing that it doesn't matter who scores the points." Head coach Steve Finamore said.

David Midena scored 10 points, Matt Zantop added 7 points including 7 rebounds. Nick Schaeffer dished out 6 assists. The Jets are in action tonight, November 25th at 7PM at the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse against Henry Ford Community College.

JCC vs. Albion College

The Jets came up short against the Briton of Albion with their second loss of the season 80-74. They led the game until half-time and just couldn't finish in the second half. The Jets are now 1-2 overall.
