Schoolcraft College (0-2)

9/13/2009

JCC faced off against conference great Schoolcraft on Sunday.  The Jets were able to keep Schoolcraft off the boar for 60 plus minutes.  This was until a foul was called 20 yards outside of the goal.  Schoolcraft was able to bend a ball in near post and go up 1-0, minutes later they followed up with another goal off a corner kick.  The Jets were without three of their starters, and battled for the 90 minutes, but came up short.

Coach Smith commented, " Schoolcraft is a great team with some great players.  They controlled the possession for the majority of the game.  However, our men defended great and played with a ton of heart.  This was a team that we lost to 6-0 and 8-0 last year.  For us to be playing this well this early in the season means that the best is yet to come for our young team."

This game put the Jets 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.  The Jets have a tough week ahead of them.  They play 3 NAIA Division II schools this week (Two JV and one Varsity).
