Richard Wierzbicki begins his first season as assistant coach with the Jets menís soccer program. He brings 18 years of coaching experience, starting when his two daughters were young and continuing through the years as they grew. He began by coaching youth soccer with the local recreation department, then traveling teams and most recently, helping coach varsity girls and boys soccer at Jackson High School. Both daughters have played volleyball for Jackson College.
Wierzbicki grew up in Poland and came to the U.S. in 1983, first in Toledo, then moving to the Jackson area in 1987. He has been active in soccer all his life and played six years as a professional in Europe. He now has also taken up hockey. He is self-employed with a custom woodworking business.
