Six Sigma Training

Six Sigma is an improvement methodology that uses data to monitor, control, and improve performance by preventing or eliminating variation. Six Sigma emphasizes producing better, faster and lower cost products and services.

For Six Sigma to succeed in any organization, buy-in from the top down is critical. That is why the Center for Business, Industry & Economic Development offers Six Sigma training at four levels.

  • Executive Overview: Leaders that will communicate and direct the companies objectives toward a successful and profitable Six Sigma implementation.
  • Champion Program: Upper level managers who lead the implementation efforts of Six Sigma.
  • Black Belt Program: Black Belts implement the principles, practices, and Six Sigma techniques for maximum improvement.
  • Green Belt Program: Green Belts assist the Black Belts in process level improvements.

Skilled Trades Training Program

The Center for Business, Industry & Economic Development (CBIED) has recently entered into partnership with the Jackson Area Manufacturing Association (JAMA) and other educational organizations to provide instructional support to JAMA's Academy for Manufacturing Careers. National Electrical Code Update Training

The 2005NEC Update Training is required by every electrician who applies to renew their State of Michigan Electrical License.
