Mike Glynn
Director of Economic & Workforce Development
Michael Glynn is the new director of workforce development in Corporate and Continuing Education. He recently relocated back to Michigan from Las Vegas, Nev. He brings several years in higher education and workforce development, where he has developed customized training for several industries, ranging from manufacturing, skilled trades, business and more. He also has experience in radio broadcasting, commercial copywriting and production, and station management, and a background in retail banking and finance and consumer lending. He completed a business management degree from Ferris State University.

Tina Matz
Coordinator, Community & Continuing Education
Tina Matz brings experience in employment services and community involvement to Corporate & Continuing Education. Tina enjoys being involved in her community, where she co-founded a professionals group now merged with the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce group, Jackson OnTrack. Tina also serves as the treasurer for St. Luke’s Health Clinic. She received her Associate of Arts from Jackson Community College and her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Central Michigan University. She also completed her Master of Arts in organizational management from Spring Arbor University and earned her Business Solutions Professional certificate.

Debbie Johnson
Senior Office Associate, Corporate and Continuing Education
Debbie Johnson received her associate’s degree in business management from Davenport University and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She brings experience in fundraising and is committed to the community and the provision of excellent customer service.

Kyle Liechty
Coordinator, Community Literacy Outreach Program
Kyle Liechty received his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Business Education at Western Michigan University in 2010. Upon his arrival at JCC, Kyle has been an active educator in the greater-Jackson area, as well as a member of the promotions and community relations department of the Detroit Tigers.

Michelle Shields
Career Coach/Alumni & Corporate Relations
Certified Career Coach and Employer Liaison, Dr. Michelle Shields, helps students with work based learning opportunities, job search strategies, and the application process. Additionally, she connects with employers in the community regarding personnel and hiring needs. She offers workshops and individual guidance on a variety of career areas.
