Innovative Grants

The Jackson Community College Foundation seeks to fund projects that will further the educational opportunities offered to JCC students. Because it is our mission to support the College, a portion of gifts received and endowment earnings will be made available to the College’s instructional community to support new and innovative educational activities, programs, equipment and strategies. Most recently, the Foundation funded seven requests totaling $16,700!

Examples recent requests to receive funding include:

  • Writing Fellowship Program: This program trains talented undergraduates to serve as peer tutors in the writing center and will support the purchase of books/materials for the program.
  • High School Bridge Project: The program serves students making the transition from high school to JCC.
  • Laboratory Safety Workshop: JCC staff & students (as well as local elementary and secondary science teachers) received laboratory safety training.

This site was created with the applicant in mind. We hope you find it informative and helpful. If you find that you have additional questions, please be sure to personally contact the Foundation – we’ll be happy to receive your call!
