Gift of Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance is a terrific way for many donors to make a significant gift to Jackson Community College! Make sure to review all the information below to learn of the many benefits of gifting life insurance.
Gift of an Existing Policy
Like many, you probably purchased life insurance a number of years ago to provide protection for your family in case something should happen to you or your spouse. And like many, your circumstances have probably changed. If this is the case, you might consider naming the Jackson Community College Foundation as owner and beneficiary of such a policy. In addition to providing the College with significant gift, you may receive benefits such as immediate tax deductions and annual tax benefits for policies which require yearly premiums to be paid.
Gift of a New Policy
Donors who wish to make a significant gift to Jackson Community College at a relatively low cost may consider a new life insurance policy. Because of this low cost, many younger donors will find a gift of life insurance is an excellent way to support JCC and their community at this stage in their lives. Similarly, older donors may find their gift is significant compared to the size of annual premiums. In either case, naming the JCC Foundation as owner and beneficiary of a policy gives the donor “piece of mind” that they are leaving a lasting legacy.
Other Benefits...
There are many other ways in which a meaningful gift can be made to JCC while providing benefits for the donor, their estate and heirs. Contact the Foundation to inquire about all of the options available to you!
