2009 Scholarship Reception

Each year the Foundation hosts a scholarship reception to give recipients a chance to connect with and thank our scholarship donors. The 2009 reception for scholarships awarded this fiscal year will be held September 17 in the Potter Center. The Foundation and College awarded 326 students $293,900 in scholarships this year. “The need for scholarships has certainly increased due to the rising cost of higher education and the worsening economy,” said Dick Dodge, JCC Foundation board member and chair of the Scholarship Committee. “This was reflected in the greatest number of scholarship applicants since I have been involved with the program. We know that many of our students wouldn’t be attending college without the financial aid package they receive through JCC. The Scholarship Reception is just one way we’re able to show our donors how much their scholarships mean to JCC students.”
Donor Reception

Each year the Foundation honors those individuals who give toward the success of our students through gifts of time, talent, and treasure. This year’s Donor Dinner and reception will take place October 14 in the Potter Center. To bring together all the individuals who are truly passionate about the College’s mission and who do so much toward our students’ success is quite motivational. The evening is about recognizing our donors’ deep commitment to the institution and of course, to our students.
