Adjunct Openings

Thank you for your interest in teaching at Jackson Community College! Staffing for courses occurs during the following times below. Please feel free to apply for a position at any time during the months not listed; adjunct applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. You will hear from us regarding your application following a review of your credentials. 
  • Fall Semester: June - August
  • Winter Semester:  November - December
  • Spring Semester: April - May

Classroom and non-classroom assignments are available on campus and at extension sites.  Extension sites include JCC@LISD Tech in Adrian & the LeTarte Center in Hillsdale. JCC is accepting applications for in Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Geology & Geography, Physics, Information Technology, Mathematics, English (Reading & Composition), World Languages, Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology. A lesser demand exists for Economics, Accounting, Business, Speech, History, Librarians, Political Science, Music and Flight.

Education and vocational standards require that our files contain your application, resume, current licenses, official transcripts/and certification.   A contract is issued when all information is complete. 

Semesters at Jackson Community College

At JCC, there are three semesters: 

  • Fall begins late August, ends just before Christmas
  • Winter begins after the New Year, ends early May
  • Summer begins 12 weeks beginning in May

Classes are offered at various times through the day and evening, Sunday through Saturday.  Applicants with a Master's degree will receive preference. A Master's degree is required in Accounting, Business, and in the Social Science area, however, we consider a Bachelor's degree in some other areas.
