Automotive Incentives
G-Force Automotive in Vandercook Lake offers two great incentives to JCC employees. If you need an oil change or other mechanical work, a G-Force Automotive employee will come to JCC main campus, pick up your vehicle, and return it to main campus when the work is complete. In addition, regular oil changes for JCC employees AND students are now $19.99. To coordinate the pick-up and return of your vehicle, please call 517.782.8755.

Bookstore
Making a purchase from the JCC
Bookstore? Be sure you identify yourself as a
JCC employee and you will get a 10% discount. No discount on sale
items, candy, software or phone cards. You can browse

Computer Purchase
Need a computer for your home? Full-time JCC employees who have completed their probationary period, can purchase a computer for home use via payroll deduction. You can pay for your computer spread over 26 pays. Contact Tom Gutowski for more information.
Discounted Meals
Dining Services provides food cards you can use in the George E. Potter Center Cafeteria. You pay $25.00 by credit card or cash only, and you get a $28.00 credit. The cashier punches the card as you make purchases.[ return to top ]

Free Microsoft Software is available for check out at the library in the William Atkinson Hall for your home computer. The software available includes:

Free/Reduced Tuition
Don’t forget about the JCC tuition waiver for when you, your spouse or dependents take JCC classes. Full-time faculty, staff, and administration receive free tuition at JCC. Part-time faculty, staff, and temporary employees accrue tuition credits. Contact Human Resources for more information.

Health Management
JCC partners with
Allegiance Health’s It’s Your Life Program to offer health management
options to JCC employees.
Information is key. That is why the first step to health management is to provide you with information about your health. You can do this by completing a Health Risk Appraisal online. Once you’ve submitted your information, you’ll have access to a personalized health report, which will identify priority health focus areas for you.
JCC will not be provided with individual health information but will receive a summary in order to allow us to offer relevant wellness activities on campus. If you are interested in learning how to manage your health and would like to be involved with Health Management at JCC, please let me know. Participant costs for early responders will be paid by the College.

Need a document

document notarized they will provide this service free of charge to any
JCC employee.

On-Site Day Care
Need day care for your child? ABC Academy operates a day care center on the campus of Jackson Community College. Priority for enrollment is given to students and then to JCC employees before enrollment is opened to the public. Call 768-9323 for more information. JCC students and employees receive a 5% discount.

Operator/Receptionist Services
Need to send an overnight letter? U.P.S. or Federal Express envelopes are available at the switchboard. Complete the delivery information and indicate that the bill should be sent to you. You then pay the carrier directly. To go out the same day it must be to the switchboard by 1:00 P.M., items received after 1:00 P.M. will be picked up in the morning of the next business day. Contact the switchboard, extension O, for more information.

Recycling
Plastics can be recycled on the Jackson campus at five locations:
- On the east side of Potter Center by the Bookstore entrance.
- On the west side of the Fieldhouse at the main entrance.
- Between McDivitt and Atkinson Halls.
- Outside the main door at Campus View.
- On the south courtyard at Whiting Hall.
Paper can be recycled in each of the buildings. Potter Center bins are in the back hallway near the Federer Rooms and the other buildings have bins under the stairways. Go GREEN!

United Postal Service (U.P.S.)
Need to mail a box or have a box delivered to you? You can drop off your packed box at Shipping and Receiving to be shipped via United Parcel Service. Be sure to put your return address and the delivery address inside the box. Type out or print very neatly the shipping address and your name on a piece of paper and tape to the box (you do not need to do a shipping label our computerized system will print the label). Jim Dale will call you with the cost and you then pay the cashier.
You can have U.P.S. make a personal delivery for you at JCC Shipping and Receiving. Make sure that it has your name and the JCC address. We will sign for it and then notify you that it has arrived. You just need to come to Shipping and Receiving in the Campus Services Building and pick it up. Contents damaged or not what you wanted? You are responsible for the return or resolving any damage claim.

Workout Facilities
The fitness center is located in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse. Hours are available upon request. Lifetime Learning (LTL) Courses is excluded from tuition grants with the exception of one (1) LTL Health and Physical Fitness course per semester.
