Temporary Fence Gas Line WorkWhiting Construction
The Week of November 2
Contractors will be locating utilities in the pathway of the Temp fence at the beginning of the week; temp fence installation will begin on Wednesday. Students and staff need to start using temp sidewalk on Wednesday. Consumer’s energy will start work on Gas line relocation on Tuesday after they review gas load calculations that we are providing on Monday. Baileys Excavating will start mobilizing in the Bert Walker Staff Parking lot once fence is installed.
Beginning Thursday, November 5, the Bert Walker faculty parking lot will be fenced off and used exclusively for the construction trailer and for the large construction equipment that will need to remain on campus for the next three to four months.
As a result, we will be using the short term lot, near the Potter Center Bookstore as the temporary faculty parking lot. Signs will be posted and security will patrol that area looking for proper stickers in vehicles. Individuals with handicapped parking stickers will still be allowed to park in that lot.
