Marilynn Fryer joined the Marketing Office at JCC in 2001 as writer, coordinating news releases for the college, contacting local media, writing for various campus publications and advertising, and taking photos.
She worked as a reporter and later as an editor for the Hillsdale Daily News in Hillsdale, Mich. She also worked briefly as an editor with the Battle Creek Enquirer, and worked in public relations before taking her current position at JCC.
Marilynn Fryer grew up in Quincy, Michigan, and attended Eastern Michigan University, receiving her bachelor's degree in journalism and political science. She completed her master's degree in counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2006.
She is involved in her local church, First Baptist Church of Jackson.
