Walk
By the Light of the Moon
The Native American "hunters moon" invites an exploration of
nature's predators during the Full Moon Walk program scheduled for 7
p.m. on Tuesday, October 2 at the Dahlem Environmental
Education Center.
Animal skins and skulls and a short slide/tape program will help
participants to discover predator roles, adaptations and dilemmas.
Afterwards, Naturalist Diane Valen will lead a trail walk with
activities designed to challenge sensory perceptions while investigating
critter hunting techniques.
The
Full Moon Walk program fee is $3/person (free to Dahlem members).
Meet in the classroom building, located at 7117 S. Jackson Road.
To aid in program planning, participants are asked to pre-register
by calling the Center at 782-3453.
