Oktoberfest
Celebrates Health Careers

Jackson Community College's
Departments of Allied Health and Nursing will celebrate Oktoberfest by
giving the community a close-up look at the career opportunities available
in the health sciences on Sunday, October 21, from noon to 3 p.m. in
Justin Whiting Hall. Explore
the numerous career options available in the health sciences area, which
you can complete in one, two or three years.
Learn about the many career options available with JCC programs,
including nursing (registered nurse and licensed practical nurse),
diagnostic medical sonography (ultrasound), vascular sonography, emergency
medical service (paramedic and EMT), medical assistant, medical
receptionist/transcriptionist, and medical receptionist/insurance biller.
JCC also offers transfer programs in medical laboratory technology,
dental hygiene, medical sciences (pre-medicine, pre-dentistry and
pre-chiropractic), physical therapy and pre-veterinary science.
Admissions representatives will be on hand to answer questions on
how to get started in these studies.
Current students will be on hand to answer any questions as well.
A number of demonstrations and other activities are planned, along
